DIY Spring Decor

 

We love Graphics, Photos, and Paper. 

With these 3 basics-- creativity is endless! 

Local Photographer and Entrepreneur, Jami Edman [aka, Images by Jami] uses our Graphics & Prints to decorate her home with photo tiles!  

Photo tiles are an unique way to display your photos and are so easy to make.

All you need is:
1. square tiles (6x6 and 12x12 are the easiest size to find at Home depot/Lowes)
2. square photographic print that is the same size as your tile. [photographic printing works best for this project. No ink = no bleeding colors!]
3. Mod podge
4. brush-sponge brush

 

1. Make sure tile is clean and dry

2. Make sure the square photographs will fit on your tile and do a slight trim if necessary
3. spread mod podge on the tile in a light layer

4. Place photo on tile and let it dry for a few minutes

5. Add a light layer of mod podge over the print on the tile. Let it let dry.

6. Place tile on easels, plate holders, or on the wall and enjoy! Makes a great gift for mother's day or father's day. My sweet hubby is getting these for his birthday to decorate his office.

Teacher Appreciation Week

It's Teacher Appreciation Week!
             
Do you see these three boys? --->

They are mine. I love them, but let's be honest; we should "appreciate" these wonderful teachers every day of the week, all year long! 

The older boys have Male Teachers.
Each Day of the week, students can bring a little note or treat to their teacher.... My boys will be doing both and then some!

I am assuming Mr. Olson & Mr. Leeper don't want a berry scented body lotion, or a bouquet of flowers... geesh, why must Men be so difficult?

So, I came up with gum... they might like gum?

I created little 3x4 notecards for them to sign and take to school for the next 3 days.

 Figured I would share the love and offer these notecards to you too!

Mojo

Have you ever lost it? Your creative passion, your zest, your mojo?

Your imagination simmers down, your mind goes blank and your creative senses are lost.
What do you do? How do you get it back?

This happens.
The creative process is different for everyone. It comes and it goes. For me, when it is lost, I have to step back, step away, and clear my mind.

I like to bike. I am not good, I am not fast, I just like it.

I use to enjoy running, but with a bike, I can cover so much more ground.
When the sun is shining, and I am outside breathing the fresh mountain air, the mojo starts to flow again and I can get back into the zone.
It's a beautiful thing!

"you get the picture"... fresh air, beautiful surroundings...  

Sometimes we fall.... but, what's important is that we get back up! 
(ha, had to throw those in there... old snowy pictures from last year)  

We all come from different paths, some we create, and some we have to cross.
At the end of the day, it's up to us to Enjoy the Ride.
