In case you’re not already aware, Pinterest is basically an online bulletin board of your favorite images and videos. It’s social bookmarking with a more visual element, allowing you to organize images — whether that be home decor, design, food, travel, wedding inspiration, the possibilities are really endless — into “pinboards” that you create and categorize.
This "digital pin board" has been around for more than 2 years, but has been making some big buzz this year. Time Magazine calls it, one of the 50 Best Websites of 2011.
Pinning Etiquette
- Give credit and include a thoughtful pin description.
- Pin from permalinks.
- Pin from the original source.
- Follow boards & like stuff! (ie, interact)
- Comment when you have something nice to say.
