2 Picasa Ready Backgrounds

Have you tried digital scrapbooking in Picasa yet?

Even if you have design software, it is still fun to build a layout in Picasa, not to mention- very fast.
Currently, Picasa flattens .png files, so it is hard to have that "layered" look. For this reason, we offer downloads that are "Picasa Ready".
It's easy.

1. Select the photo's that you want, and hold them in your dropbox
2. Picasa creates the collage
3. Crop the collage + save it
4. Create another with collage #1 on top of your Picasa Ready paper

Although Picasa won't read .png files, there are ways around that!

Adding Different Font Types...

The "EASTER" font below is the "wish I were taller font" from non other than Kevin and Amanda.

Kevin and Amanda have so many scrapbook style font's available for free!

The green diamond border on the left is a wingding/webding font. {Webdings is a TrueType symbol for the web.}

You may not know it- but you already have webdings installed on your computer (if you don't- you need a new computer) Browse your fonts, and find "webdings"- you may even have 2 or 3 styles of them.

(Webdings is a symbol font designed in 1997 as a response to the need of Web designers for a fast and easy method of incorporating graphics in their pages. -microsoft)

Creating a Scrapbook Page with Google Picasa - Step 3

Whew! If you have made it through all of our Google Picasa Tutorials- well, done!
Step 3 is probably the most important! This is where you learn how to get that collage into your online Picasa Web Album (free)- and ordered directly from Persnickety Prints! You do not have to download and then upload- we have integrated with Picasa to make this so easy!

Creating a Digital Scrapbook Page with Google Picasa - Step 2

How much would the average scrap/memory book person spend on something like this 12x12 scrapbook page?

11 separate pictures (11 4x6 prints x .29¢) = $3.19
12x12 Cardstock= .50¢
Elements, Glue, Background paper= $1.00

You are looking at spending an average of $4.69 on a simple 12x12 scrapbook page with 10 or more photo's.

Am I close?

Should we figure in the time it would take to order all of these prints, cut them, glue them, etc, etc?

Here is a Picasa Collage I have printed at Persnickety Prints- notice how thin my "grid" is.

For printing, the thicker your grid the better.

We work very hard to keep your borders and make them even. Our lab techs watch every single image and layout that is ordered.

I will bet $ that if you had an image with a thin border printed somewhere else, it would look just like this one on the bottom.
